IBELL CARR PLEADS GUILTY TO MANSLAUGHTER

Ibell Carr pleaded guilty to manslaughter minutes before the first witness was called in his trial today.

Carr was 28 years old when he was charged with murder for the stabbing death of 40-year-old Kelvin Matthew.

Matthew was pronounced dead on Liberta Basketball Court September 18, 2017.

The prosecution accepted the plea since there was evidence the deceased had provoked and threatened to harm the defendant days leading up to the incident.
