GOVERNMENT EYES ANOTHER CALL CENTRE INVESTMENT
A prospective investment is set to provide some 300 jobs as the government seeks to turbo-charge a recovery in the economy in the wake of the dislocation caused by COVID-19.
The government is currently in discussions with principals of another call centre who could begin operations as early as June this year.
Minister for Information Technology Hon. Melford Nicholas is leading the government’s negotiations with the enterprise.
The company says the employees can be trained to work from their homes.
The terms and concessions are currently being negotiated with the outfit which currently employs hundreds of thousands of people around the world.
