22 YEAR OLD WOMAN PERISHES IN ROAD CRASH

Antigua and Barbuda recorded its seventh road fatality since the start of the year on Saturday, when 22 year old Amaya Yearwood died in a traffic crash along Friars Hill Road. Police say Yearwood was driving a Toyota Mark X south to north along the thoroughfare when she ostensibly lost control of the vehicle which ran off the road. Yearwood, who was the sole occupant, was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead. Images of the mangled wreck of the car showed the severity of the impact. Investigations are ongoing.
