MEGA INVESTMENT ON THE HORIZON FOR UWI FIVE ISLANDS CAMPUS

Prime Minister the Hon. Gaston Browne says the government will invest significant funds to expand the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus.
He says the expanded campus will eventually provide a major boost to the country’s economy.
The government is seeking to finance the expansion through a loan from Saudi Arabia.
US$100m is being sought, 75 million of which is earmarked for UWI FIC, while the remainder is set to fund further development of facilities at Cricket West Indies based at Coolidge.
