MORE THAN 50 PER CENT OF COMPASSIONATE SEVERANCE PAYMENT TO LIAT WORKERS UNCOLLECTED

LIAT’s court-appointed administrator, Cleveland Seaforth says more than half of the 2 million dollars provided by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda as a compassionate payment to severed staff last year is yet to be collected.
He said 140 of the 292 former staffers eligible for the payment have so far come forward to accept their payments.
Some $940,000 has so far been paid out since December last year.
