The instrument of accession was signed on Wednesday by St Lucia’s Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre.
Prime Minister Gaston Browne, who founded COSIS with the prime minister of Tuvalu last year, is quoted as saying, “I am personally and officially delighted that the government of St Lucia has joined this initiative to seek climate justice for small islands that have suffered, and are continuing to endure, the harmful impact of climate change on our countries”.
