Murphy Benefits from the Sandals Corporate Universtiy

Matara Murphy is among several Antiguan and Barbudan residents benefitting from the Sandals Corporate University.

After completing studies at the Antigua and Barbuda Hospitality Institute, Murphy gained employment at Sandals Antigua five years ago, but never in her wildest dreams did she believe how beneficial that move would be.

Murphy has just completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel management from St. Lucia and is now working at the Sandals La Source specializing in Human Resources Development.

Sandals has pumped millions of dollars into the programme, which has helped scores of young people to achieve their dreams.

Murphy is appreciative of the opportunity given to her and looks forward to more young Antiguans benefiting from the Sandals Corporate University Initiative.

Launched in March 2012, the SCU was formed on the ethos of providing Sandals team members the unique opportunity to further their education through on-the-job training and partnerships with renowned universities and colleges.
