CARICOM Regional Inter-Faith Conference launches
Several regional dignitaries are on island to attend the first ever Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Regional Inter-Faith Conference on February 17.
The conference, targeted at religious leaders of faiths practiced across the Caribbean, and in particular, leaders of national and regional umbrella Faith-based organizations, is preceded by an Inter-Faith Service on Sunday.

Meanwhile, finals preparations are in place for the hosting of the first Regional Interfaith Conference in Antigua and Barbuda at the Jolly Beach Resort and Spa.
The purpose of the conference is to reignite the spirit of fellowship among CARICOM’s religious leaders.
It also aims to develop a framework for a regional consultative process to facilitate appropriate engagement of Faith Based Organizations in the decision-making process in the Community.
Attendees are also expected to discuss the formation of an organisation to tackle hunger and poverty across CARICOM.
Attending the function is Premier of Montserrat Reuben Meade.
Rev. Dr. the hon. Rodger Samuel Minister within the Ministry of National Diversity and Social Integration of Trinidad and Tobago will also participate in the symposium.
Collin Cumberbatch and King Frank I will represent the local Rastafari community as well as the Caribbean Rastafarian Association.
Also expected are Imitiaz Ali of the Caribbean Muslim Forum and several high ranking members of the Caribbean Conference of Churches.
