PUBLIC SAFETY MINISTER COMMITS TO UPGRADES AT POLICE ACADEMY

Sir Wright F. George Police Academy is set for a major overhaul.

Speaking at Thursday’s graduation ceremony for police recruits, Public Safety Minister, Hon. Sir Steadroy Benjamin pledged to bring the training facility into the modern era.

The commitment came on the heels of a candid appeal from the Academy’s Commandant, Louisa Benjamin-Quashie, who highlighted current struggles of training new recruits.

Sir Steadroy assured that he has taken note of her appeal.
