ANDERSON CARTY AND HIS ATTORNEY WELCOME PRIVY COUNCIL JUDGEMENT ON DISMISSAL CASE
Anderson Carty has triumphed at Antigua and Barbuda’s final appellate court, in a long-running legal row over his dismissal from the Transport Board in 2014.
The Judicial Committee of the Privy Council upheld his appeal against a decision of the court of appeal, which had reduced the total award of close to XCD$90,000 in damages awarded by Antigua and Barbuda’s Industrial Court.
Both Carty and his attorney, Dr David Dorsett have welcomed the ruling.
They are also emphasizing its far-reaching implications for industrial relations practices in Antigua and Barbuda.
