ANTIGUAN STUDENT NAMED CARIBBEAN RHODES SCHOLAR
Antiguan student Resa B. Nelson has been named the 2026 Caribbean Rhodes Scholar, becoming only the second Antiguan ever to receive the world-renowned honour.
The 21-year-old will pursue a Master’s in Biology by Research at the University of Oxford.
Nelson says she hopes her studies will help her make a lasting impact across the Caribbean.
She follows in the footsteps of the only other Antiguan Rhodes Scholar, Her Excellency Karen-Mae Hill, who is Antigua and Barbuda’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.
