DPP WANTS TOUGHER LAWS AGAINST SEX AND GUN CRIMES

Tougher legislation to tackle sexual and firearms offences are high on the priority list for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions this year.

DPP Clement Joseph points to an uptick in these cases, including adult men preying on female minors.

Joseph raised the issue during a special sitting to mark the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court’s new law year.
