MINIMUM WAGE ADVISORY COMMITTEE SAYS LIVING WAGE SHOULD BE $13.01 PER HOUR
The national minimum wage is to be increased from $9.00 to $11.50 per hour as of April 1.
It is part of a phased approach to get the rate to 13-dollars within three years, to ensure it keeps pace with the cost of living.
The National Minimum Wage Advisory committee has explained its calculations and has recommended to cabinet that the living wage is $13.01 per hour.
