Antiguan and Barbudan Mixologist Auslando Davis Selected for Prestigious Global Beverage Scholarship
Antigua and Barbuda’s hospitality industry is celebrating an outstanding international achievement as acclaimed local mixologist Auslando Davis has been awarded a prestigious scholarship by the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation, earning a place among an elite group of emerging beverage professionals from around the world.
Davis, who serves as Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at Curtain Bluff Antigua, is a WSET Level 2 Sommelier and a decorated member of Antigua and Barbuda’s National Culinary Team. He was selected from a highly competitive global pool of applicants to participate in the Foundation’s exclusive scholarship programme, which provides a fully funded educational experience at the 24th annual Tales of the Cocktail conference in New Orleans, from 19th–26th July 2026.
Recognized as the world’s leading spirits and cocktail conference, the event is expected to welcome between 20,000 and 25,000 hospitality professionals from more than 50 countries, creating an unparalleled platform for networking, education, and innovation within the global beverage industry.
The selection committee recognized Davis for his leadership, commitment to beverage education, and dedication to delivering exceptional service within the Caribbean hospitality sector. The scholarship is designed to support emerging industry leaders by providing advanced professional development, personalized mentorship, and access to a curated programme of educational seminars and networking opportunities.
