HURRICANES ‘BAKER’ AND ‘DOG’ – THE BACK-TO-BACK ONSLAUGHT ON A&B IN 1950

Hurricanes Baker and Dog carved a trail of destruction across Antigua and Barbuda within days of each other in 1950.

Few may have heard about these cyclones, but they carved their places in the country’s hurricane history long before names such as Luis, Georges, Lenny and Irma became familiar memories.

August 21 was the 76th anniversary of Hurricane Baker.
