MINISTER TURNER SAYS INMATES ‘GIVING BACK TO SOCIETY’ THROUGH HAPI INITIATIVE

Minister for Social and Urban Transformation Hon. Rawdon Turner has defended the deployment of inmates of His Majesty’s Prison to work on the Home Advancement Programme for the Indigent (HAPI) initiative.

He was reacting to reservations expressed in some sections of the society, insisting this is a crucial part of rehabilitation and community service for the inmates.
