Employees of Kennedy’s Enterprise Take Industrial Action 

Workers at Kennedy’s Hardware on All Saints Road and its outlet at Newgate Lane are taking industrial action amid a dispute over union representation.

The workers, mostly women, say they have concerns about their working conditions, job descriptions, workloads, and other issues affecting their day-to-day operations.  The workers have selected the People’s Union as their bargaining agent. However, they allege management has refused to meet or engage with union officials to address their concerns.

Management says it will issue a statement on the matter later Monday.
