The Ministry Of Broadcasting And Telecommunications Senior Management And Staff Bids Farewell To Retiring Colleagues
Senior management and staff of Ministry of Broadcasting and Telecommunications gathered on Monday to give a joyful send-off to eight colleagues who are retiring from the public service.
Led by the Minister responsible for the portfolio, Hon. Melford Nicholas, tributes and well-wishes were expressed to the eight at a special function and social held at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium.
Minister Nicholas told the retirees…three of whom were present…that his ministry and the government thanks them for their many years of service to the country.
Permanent secretary in the Ministry, Joan Joseph urged the retirees to see their retirement as the closing of one door in their lives and the opening of another.
The retiring officers are from the Broadcasting Division…Dave Lester Payne, John Maynard and Elaine Beatrice Pelle; from Telecommunications Division, Hyacinth Samuel, and Rolston James, from E-911 Division…Patrick Dore and from the Information Technology Division…Joseph Edwards and Austin Murray.
