Board Of Education Investigation Results

The findings of the investigations into the Board of Education (BOE) are out.

Minister of Education, the Hon. Michael Browne says there were several forms of malpractice to include unauthorized advances, external audit delays, overpaying a bailiff and missing or stolen cheques.

He also revealed the report’s findings where payments made to the bailiff are concerned.

Minister Browne says there are currently auditor generals who are conducting audits in several areas of the department.

During his presentation of the findings the Education Minister also made public the contents of a letter written to the Commissioner of Police in October 2014, calling for the assistance of Scotland Yard with reference to the investigations.
