Government’s Website Is Again Up And Running After A Cyber Attack

After being shut down following a cyber-attack over the weekend- the government website is back up and running.

Minister of Information, Broadcasting, Telecommunications & Information Technology, the Hon. Melford Nicholas says ab.gov.ag was restored at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

Minister Nicholas believes the government’s IT system is better off following the comprehensive response from the Computer Security Incident Response Team.

The Minister has confirmed that the hackers originated outside of Antigua and Barbuda but was careful not to release too much details saying the issue is still under investigation.
