Ministry of Education to assume full responsibility of security for all schools

The Ministry of Education has begun the process of assuming full responsibility of security for all schools.

Minister of Education Michael Browne has established a special committee to assist in carrying out the job.

The body is currently assessing the level of security in public schools being offered by private firms.

The education department will be taking over the management of schools’ security from the Public Works Department.
