ABS CONFIRMS RUMOURS OF CORONAVIRUS IN JAMAICA UNTRUE

JAMAICA’S HEALTH MINISTER SAYS NO TRUTH TO CORONAVIRUS RUMOURS

Jamaica’s Health Minister, Dr Christopher Tufton says there is no truth to reports of a case of coronavirus at the University Hospital of the West Indies, UHWI. The Minister was addressing journalists at a media briefing a short while ago. He also spoke directly with ABS news to deny the rumours. Countries in the Caribbean have intensified their surveillance efforts to prevent the spread of the novel strain of coronavirus to the region. It was first identified in Wuhan, China and has so far claimed the lives of over 100 people.
