MASSIVE EARTHQUAKE JOLTS JAMAICA AND NEIGHBOURING TERRITORIES

A magnitude 7.3 earthquake jolted sections of the Northern Caribbean this afternoon. It was felt in Jamaica, Cuba, The Bahamas, Haiti and Honduras. The United States Geological Survey says the quake occurred at 2:10 local time (3:10 ECT) about 117 km North West of Hanover, Jamaica’s most North Westerly parish.

There has yet been no report of injuries. We will keep track of this developing story and provide more details in the ABS news at 7.
