Cuban ambassador responds

This country’s ambassador to Cuba is dispelling rumors that Antiguan and Barbudan med students are being forced to put their lives at risk of being infected by Covid 19.
Ambassador George Morris Goodwin is responding to several messages circulating on social media suggesting that the students are being forced to carry out surveys against their will.

Cuba has some 25 cases of Covid 19 and parents here in Antigua and Barbuda, according to reports, are growing concerned.
But Ambassador Goodwin offers this assurance this evening that the Cuban government is doing everything in its power to keep Antiguan and Barbudan students safe.

Antigua and Barbuda has been benefitting from the Cuban health system for decades. It’s been sending its health workers throughout the region to support the region’s health systems.
Antigua and Barbuda will be receiving a group of doctors and nurses this week that will strengthen the country’s abilities to fight against the spread of Covid 19.
