INCREASED ACTIVITY AT LA SOUFRIERE

The National Emergency Management Organization in St. Vincent and the Grenadines is reporting increased activity at La Soufriere.
According to the latest update, at 4:15AM Monday, the dome at the volcano has collapsed and pyroclastic flows can be seen along the valleys on the eastern and western coast.
Pyroclastic flow consists of a mixture of hot rock fragments, hot gases, and entrapped air that moves at often high speed in thick, grey-to-black, turbulent clouds overground.
ABS will continue to monitor and report.
