MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC URGED TO COLLECT VACCINATION ID CARDS

The COVID-19 Vaccination Card Unit is making an urgent appeal for members of the public to collect their cards.
That’s our top story this evening as over two thousand vaccination ID cards remain uncollected at the Unit housed at the Multipurpose Cultural Center.
Unit Manager Michelle Warner-Morris says this is a causing a major challenge as cards pile up at the Unit.

The Unit Manager says cards remain at the facility since the printing process began. The unit has been processing 600 to 1000 cards per day, only to shelve them because they are not been collected.
Information Minister the Hon. Melford Nicholas says he finds it bizarre this is still an issue being faced by the Unit.

To collect your vaccination ID card, an identification is required or if you are collecting on behalf of someone their ID is required.
Minister Nicholas says in the coming week the Unit will look at ways to reduce the number of uncollected cards.
