SENATE COMPLETES DEBATE ON APPROPRIATIONS BILL

Parliament’s Upper House has completed debate on the Appropriations Bill 2022, following more impassioned contributions on both sides of the aisle.
Members engaged in intense debate on the issue of the 5.3 per cent GDP growth last year and the extent to which it has been felt by citizens and residents.
While concerns were raised by the opposition, Government legislators pointed to what they said has been the administration’s strides despite the fall-out from the pandemic.
