WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION PROVIDES UPDATE ON OMICRON XE

The World Health Organization says the XE version of the Omicron COVID-19 variant is slightly more transmissible than the BA.2 version of the variant.
The WHO’s Technical Lead on COVID-19, Dr Maria Van Kerkhove, says XE is still being thoroughly assessed.
