UN SECRETARY-GENERAL ADVOCATES FOR LOSS AND DAMAGE FOR VULNERABLE SMALL STATES

Antigua and Barbuda and other small island developing states have received another boost in their call to be compensated for climate damage.
United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres echoed that call on Tuesday as he opened the UN General Assembly meeting in New York in the United States.
He also wants increased access to concessional funding for developing countries, another call championed by the twin-island state.
