Barbuda’s Water Reservoir To Be Built Second to None

The contractors of the soon to be constructed water catchment project located at highland Barbuda are being charged to ensure that the reservoir is second to none.

The Ministry of Agriculture, the Hon. Hilson Baptise says the project must be built effectively to provide support to climate change adaptation and meet the demands for water on the sister isle.

The Reducing the Risk to Human and Natural Assets resulting from Climate Change (RRACE- (RACK) came into to being as part of an agreement between the OECS Secretariat and the US AIDE.

Project Engineer, Egbert Louis is overseeing the works of the demonstration project in OECS member states. He speaks of the specification of works to be undertaken.

The OECS Secretariat has pleaded a commitment to ensure that that the project which is a flagship for the region is successfully implemented.
