SEA CHANGE – APUA DEPLOYS CUTTING-EDGE APPROACH TO LAYING PIPES
Several hundred feet of High-Density Polyethylene pipes have been laid under some streets of the nation’s capital, without many noticing.
That is because the Antigua Public Utilities Authority is rolling out Horizontal Directional Drilling, a technology that is revolutionizing how water pipes are laid in Antigua.
The APUA has entered a deal with Trinidad-based TrinWeld Contracting Services, which is carrying out the work to lay pipes in St John’s City, with minimal disruption to road surfaces.
