NEW REPORT OUTLINES WAYS TO FIX CHRONIC LEAK AT POT WORKS DAM

Cabinet is to consider fresh recommendations on repairs to Pot Works Dam, potentially paving the way for the reservoir to retain an additional 800 million gallons of water.

The announcement comes from Utilities Minister, Hon. Melford Nicholas, who says Cuban engineers have provided a report complete with technical drawings and other engineering details.

He told the ‘Taking Stock’ programme on PBN it will now require the government to estimate the cost.

Minister Nicholas also says he would like the process to be done quickly to rectify the leakage issues at the country’s main reservoir.
