DPP’s Office to be Strengthened with Five More Lawyers
Cabinet has announced it will facilitate the employment of five additional lawyers to strengthen the team of prosecutors at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Cabinet has also agreed to provide full scholarships to two police officers to pursue law studies at the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus. They will then join the team of prosecutors at the DPP’s office upon completion of the programme.
The government says these measures are aimed at ensuring that the prosecution service is capable of effectively preparing and presenting criminal cases.
