Hon. Michael Browne Minister Of Education Holds Firm On The Board Of Education Issue

Minister of Education, Hon. Michael Browne is holding fast to his position in the current impasse with the Antigua and Barbuda Union of Teachers.

This comes as the Antigua and Barbuda Trade Union Congress, a grouping of the major trade unions on the island, throws its full support behind its affiliate, the A-B-U-T.

Minister Browne says it is not his intention to dictate to the A-B-U-T, but he feels that the union must show some sensitivity with regards to the person it nominates to sit on the board.
