IRENA AND AOSIS INK MAJOR DEAL

Meanwhile, ahead of ahead of speaking with ABS News from Scotland today, Sir Molwyn was involved in a crucial signing ceremony on behalf of the Alliance of Small Island States, AOSIS.
Sir Molwyn signed an agreement with Francesco La Camera, Director General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).
This will see both organizations will work closely to mobilise climate finance and to advance the deployment of renewable energy across Small Island Developing States.
Sir Molwyn explained the importance of this memorandum of understanding in helping small island developing states.

The Environment Minister also praised IRENA’s role in assisting Antigua and Barbuda.
