MINISTRY OF FINANCE TEAM AGITATES FOR CLIMATE FINANCING AT COP26

More on what is being billed as the consequential COP26 summit as a two-member team from the Ministry of Finance is also attending the summit as part of the nation’s delegation.

They are Debt Manager Nadia Spencer-Henry and Senior Public Financial Management Officer Gail Imhoff-Gordon are pushing for more climate financing to be available to this country.

Spencer-Henry tells ABS News it has been a whirlwind of activity since the team left on Saturday October 30.

She has been appointed as principal board member for Small Island Developing States (SIDS) for the period 2022-2024. Her role will encompass supporting the work of the Green Climate Fund to finance programmes and projects for SIDS.

Spencer-Henry will be supported in this role by Michai Robertson, Policy Officer at the Department of Environment.
