PM GASTON BROWNE RENEWS CALL FOR DEVELOPED WORLD TO PAY FOR CLIMATE CHANGE DAMAGE
Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne has renewed his call for small island states such as Antigua and Barbuda to receive compensation from loss and damage due to the effects of climate change.
He says the developed world should pay and he has also suggested a global windfall tax to fund climate transition in developing countries.
Prime Minister Browne made the comments during a forum in Rwanda ahead of the official start of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
