PM BROWNE SAYS A&B-CHINA RELATIONS NO THREAT TO U.S. INTERESTS

Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne says the People’s Republic of China is a key development partner of Antigua and Barbuda, and insists the United States has nothing to fear from these ties.

He has also indicated the twin-island state is prepared to play any part it can to broker talks between the U.S. and China, the world’s two largest economies.

Antigua and Barbuda’s Ambassador to the United States, Sir Ronald Sanders says Prime Minister Browne made the comments during a meeting with US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday.
