DR PHILMORE BENJAMIN TO IMPROVE EFFICACY OF COMMUNITY CLINICS

Veteran medical practitioner, Dr Philmore Benjamin has been appointed as a consultant to improve the effectiveness of community clinics. Cabinet approved his immediate appointment during its meeting on Wednesday, noting this is a crucial step in improving the country’s primary healthcare delivery.

His appointment coincides with the announcement of several infrastructure projects, including the construction of a new polyclinic in Jennings. The Clare Hall Clinic is also to be expanded into a polyclinic, while the Old Road Clinic is to be upgraded. Cabinet says these projects are aimed at improving healthcare delivery across Antigua and Barbuda.
