The main opposition United Progressive Party (UPP) is making last-minute changes to its slate, with a general election expected within three months.

The party has now named a new candidate for the St. Paul constituency, who will run against incumbent Member of Parliament, E.P. Chet Greene of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP).  According to a press statement from Leader of the Opposition, Hon. Jamale Pringle, early Wednesday, Franz Defreitas will replace Wayne Benjamin Marsh, who withdrew from the party’s candidate slate this week.
