Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission Announces Change to Miss Abigail Piper’s Regional Pageant Participation
The Antigua and Barbuda Festivals Commission (ABFC) announces that Miss Abigail Piper will no longer participate in the Miss Caribbean Universe Pageant, scheduled to be held on June 13, 2026, in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. This decision follows unforeseen visa-related challenges and travel restrictions that were beyond the control of both Miss Piper and the Commission.
However, the Commission is pleased to confirm that Miss Piper will proudly represent Antigua and Barbuda at the Miss Caribbean Beauty and Intelligence Pageant this August. This prestigious regional platform aligns closely with her passion for empowerment, cultural representation, leadership, and personal development.
Minister of Sports and Creative Industries, Hon. Dwayne George, expressed his continued confidence in and support for Miss Piper. “The Commission is immensely proud of Abigail and her accomplishments, preparation, and unwavering commitment throughout this journey. She has represented Antigua and Barbuda with grace, professionalism and distinction. We have every confidence that she will shine on the regional stage, and we look forward to supporting her as she proudly carries our flag at the Miss Caribbean Beauty and Intelligence Pageant later this year,” said Minister George.
Miss Piper extends her sincere gratitude to the organizers of the Miss Caribbean Universe Pageant, her sponsors, family, friends, supporters, and all those who have encouraged her throughout her journey. She wishes the contestants every success as they prepare for the upcoming competition and looks forward to supporting the pageant’s continued growth and success.
