Antigua And Barbuda Is Part Of An Organized Effort To Assist In Relief Efforts In Dominica

And this was the scene just back of the Woods Mall just about an hour ago.
A group of volunteers were busily sorting and packaging relief supplies that were being packed into a 40 foot container that will be shipped out of Antigua this evening.
The effort is being coordinated by the Antigua Dominica Relief Fund, which will be acting as the coordinating agency for the support and relief effort here in Antigua.
Besides the donations from private citizens and the business community, the members of the group have been receiving solid support from the National Office of Disaster Services.
The Director Philmore Mullin was on hand and was able to share advice based on information he has been receiving from disaster officials on the ground in Dominica.
According to Acres Stowe, one of the coordinators within the group, a more harmonized and organized approach will be taking place over the next few days as they get a better grasp on what is needed by the victims of Tropical Storm Erika.
