Ministry of Works and Housing to conduct road work

With plans to have one of the major road routes closed off for approximately two weeks, the minister under whose purview such responsibilities fall is giving more insight into the project.

The Ministry of Works and Housing has announced that it will be conducting road work on the main road that leads from Herbert’s Main Road to Seaview Farm.

The intention is to effect the smoother flow of traffic through that part of the island, and give motorists an alternate route, thereby easing traffic congestion, particularly during the rush hour periods.

But as the Hon. Eustace Teco Lake explained during an exclusive interview with ABS Television, it is more than just creating a new road network.

During the exercise, the alternative route will go up All Saints Road and through Seaview Farm Village, to get to Light Foot. There will also be the option of traveling up Factory Road and past the Light Food Pond.

The minister is therefore issuing an early appeal for patience during this period.
