Sir David Harrison Recommended as Chairman of UWI Five Islands Campus Council
The Cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda has recommended UK-based entrepreneur Sir David Harrison to serve as Chairman of the University of the West Indies Five Islands Campus Council and Chairman of its Endowment Fund.
Sir David is the founder of the Harrison Foundation, which funded the former Antigua and Barbuda Institute of Continuing Education (ABICE) programme that evolved into the Harrison Centre, supporting technical and vocational education in the country.
The position has been vacant since the passing of the late Sir Aziz Hadeed. The recommendation will now proceed through the University’s formal approval process.
