Governor of the US Virgin Islands Osbert Potter Visits
The newly elected Lieutenant Governor of the US Virgin Islands, Osbert Potter, is currently visiting Antigua and Barbuda.
On Friday, the official paid a courtesy call on Governor General, His Excellency Sir Rodney Williams.
Lt Governor Potter, who has Antiguan heritage, is visiting for the main purpose of attending the funeral of a family member.
Governor General His Excellency, Sir Rodney Williams presents the diplomat with a gift during their brief meeting.
The state officials also discussed plans for mutual cooperation between the two territories.
Lieutenant Governor of the US Virgin Islands, Osbert Potter, who recently assumed the position in early January, identifies what he believes are key areas of potential collaboration between the US Virgin Islands and Antigua and Barbuda.
The Antiguan by decent expresses his delight on the time he spent with family, during the visit to the twin island nation.
The diplomat says he is returning to the US Virgin islands in his new capacity to a lot of hard work, but is confident he will live up to the expectations of his electorate.
